  Fire Safety Plans

Canadian fire codes (National, Ontario, Alberta, etc.) require that most buildings have an “approved” fire safety plan that includes: instructions for supervisory personnel, building staff and fire wardens, emergency procedures for fire wardens and occupants, a summary of the building’s fire protection/life safety systems and a maintenance schedule for said equipment, and floor plans for all facilities provided for occupant safety.

LRI will perform a comprehensive audit of your building, create drawings showing the layout and relevant fire protection/life safety devices, and prepare instructions and emergency procedures for supervisory staff and building occupants. LRI will then submit the Plan to the Authority Having Jurisdiction (usually the local fire department) and work with them on your behalf to obtain approval for the Fire Safety Plan.
